Listen To God During Lent
Some thoughts on listening to God. I was praying the other day wondering how I was going to make it through this week and my rent. God was putting out fires for me. Just as I got threw talking to God about my financial difficulties I got a Phone call from my business partner and he informed me about a business opportunity that was developing that might bring some more money to the table.
Then I found myself at the Stations of The Cross on Friday which is a tradition at most churches. During this time my father came to me and spoke to me. I felt at the time the tears rushing up within me. Feelings of warmth over came me and I felt at peace as if everything was going to be all right. Regardless of what happens in this economic situation I know God is listening and we just need to listen a little better to him. I know I need to take the time to just sit and listen. Often God tries to get a hold of us to relieve the pressure we all feel but he finds no one home. Maybe during this Lenten experience each of us can take the time to sit, listen and be filled with the Holy Spirit.God Bless you all.
