Sex can consume you if you do not curtail it. I use to sit up and think about nothing but sex. It consumed my every waking moment, from the time I got up to the time I went to bed. I use to think sex was love and that masturbation was a way of releasing stress. This attitude led me to the dark side of sex. It ruined two marriages with the two greatest women I have ever met. After the second Marriage, I went to counseling and then I set out to change. Change comes slowly. You must first realize you have a problem. At first I thought another woman would be the answer. Then after the fourth meaningless relationship I realized that sex was the problem. I then went and took a second look at my marriages. Sex is what destroyed both of my relationships. I then realized I needed to change my life style. I needed to God. I needed to open up my heart to the Lord and reject Satan. It was a slow process. It took understanding friends. It took honesty and a lot of praying. The Holy Spirit works in many ways and when you are in the darkness of Satan it takes the Church and the love of Jesus to pull you out. I have come along way and feel the Holy Spirit. I want to do the right thing so now I want to dedicate my life to helping others. If you have a problem with sex, we can help you. Come to Catholic America Today and meet Jesus.
My Dear Friends In Christ,
Man has pondered this for centuries, if God gives us Grace then how are we free to make up our own minds to choose between good and evil? If we had God’s Grace then we would not want to sin, but human nature is predisposed to sin. How does that work and does God want salvation for all?
The argument in the sixteenth century and seventeenth century when this subject was heavily debated was pretty complicated and one could easily be confused. To start why give man free will in the first place, why not save all men? I will just say that I am not looking for a career change to philosopher.
According to Kenneth Baker, S.J. Catholics remain “free” after they receive God’s Grace. He defines two types of Grace. There is “efficacious grace” where God’s grace achieve their purpose and then there is “sufficient grace” where people say no to God. Baker defines this grace as not being enough to obtain a good outcome, but does give sufficient power to produce one. In other words man has the power to refuse Grace.
I have no problem with the definition of grace. I have been in the position where I have refused God many a time. It was quite simple when I was younger, because of my racing hormones, all the devil had to do was put a beautiful woman in front of me and that was it. I fell from grace.
For those Catholics that do not see the beauty of God’s Church, God was of course intelligent to know that man could not always choose right. This is why he developed a sacramental church where we have reconciliation with God. Where we could choose to operate and be in grace with God. It is our choice to make. This is why I think church is not a design by man. It is too perfect. It is designed well. Man could not have achieved or have thought of such a religion. Everything is too well planned right down to the scripture.
Well I have to go and take my son to school. I hope all of you have a nice day. Remember Catholic America Today would make a good Christmas gift.
